Coaching is available at
the club on an individual, pairs or group basis,
catering for all ages and abilities. You can
organise this yourself by contacting the Club
Coach (see above) or by joining a course (see
below and right).
Juniors
We have a thriving junior section with over 100
children members, most of whom attend the
coaching sessions throughout the week.
Even though we focus on the skill and technical
development of every child, we try to base most
of the learning in fun and enjoyment, without
the pressures that sport can cause. Our
main aim is for children to enjoy tennis into
adulthood.

sessions click here.
Adults
An adult improver course is run two or three
times a year on Thursday evenings (see right for
dates). The course consists of 10 lessons
over a period of at least 10 weeks and
afterwards you can play on for the rest of the
evening to practice those skills you have just
learnt. This is a popular way of getting
into playing tennis, or picking it up again
after a few years lapse. After the course,
the Club Coach will make an informal assessment
to see if you have reached a sufficient standard
to be able to successfully join in on Full Club
Play evenings (please don't be daunted by this
prospect - the tennis at Club Play is more
'social' than competitive in
standard). If you aren't quite ready
for Club Play you can still play on club
coaching evenings, Saturday and Sunday
afternoons and book courts for a period of six
months from the start of the course
membership. In order to keep playing at
the club after this six month period you
would need to become a full adult club member
(see membership
for details) or join the next coaching course
(for a further fee).
